Egyptian Temples

Abydos -- The chief seat of worship of Osiris, Lord of the Underworld, and a must-see on your Nile cruise.
  Dendera -- Standing in beautiful isolation at the edge of the desert, it is said to be built on the site of temples that predate the First Dynasty.
Edfu-- Completed in 57 b.c. by the Ptolemies, it is the best preserved temple in Egypt and is dedicated to Horus the Elder, conquerer of Set and advenger of his father, Osiris.
  Kom Ombo -- Another well-preserved Ptolmaeic temple, this temple features some fascinating ruins and mummified crocodiles.
